Nigerian Army University Biu Mourns the Passing of Professor Abubakar Mohammed El-Jummah

It is with heavy hearts and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah (S.W.T) that the Council, Management, Staff, and Students of the Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB) announce the transition of Professor Abubakar Mohammed El-Jummah. 

The university community is deeply saddened to confirm that Professor El-Jummah passed away following a brief illness while in the captivity of insurgents. He had been held since his abduction approximately one year ago. 

Professor El-Jummah was a dedicated academic whose contributions to the university and the broader Nigerian educational landscape were immense. His loss is felt not only as a professional void but as a profound personal tragedy for his colleagues and students who held him in high esteem.

In a statement released by the University Management, the institution expressed deep sorrow over the circumstances of his passing:

"We pray that Almighty Allah (S.W.T) forgives his shortcomings, accepts his martyrdom, and grants him Jannatul Firdausi. May He grant his family and the entire university community the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss." 

As the community mourns, the university stands in solidarity with the bereaved family. Further details regarding memorial services or prayers (Janaza) will be communicated in accordance with Islamic rites and the family's wishes.
