The Management of Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano (formerly Northwest University) has officially announced the cancellation of the mid-semester break for the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic session

In a formal notification issued by the Office of the Registrar on February 11, 2026, the university management stated that the decision was made due to the proximity of the break to the scheduled commencement of the Second Semester Examinations.

The circular, signed by the Head of the Directorate of Examinations, Admissions, and Records (DEAR), Jafaru Sule Muhammad, expressed apologies for any inconveniences caused by the sudden change in the academic schedule.
