NOUN Re-elects Prof. Mundi as Dean of Faculty of Agricultural Sciences

The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has re-elected Prof. Nda E. Mundi as its dean in an uncontested election. Prof. Mundi, who previously served as dean from 2016 to 2018, garnered 17 out of 19 votes cast.

This election was necessitated by the passing of former dean, Prof. Ahmad Njidda, in August 2024. According to NOUN’s guidelines, only professors are eligible to hold the dean position, and Prof. Mundi was the sole eligible candidate.

Prof. Mundi outlined his priorities, which include advancing crop production and re-establishing greenhouse farming for research and revenue generation. He also emphasized plans to boost postgraduate enrollment through strategic advocacy.
