ASUU Awards Scholarships to FULafia Students

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has awarded scholarships to six students of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia).

At a ceremony held at the Faculty Board Room of the Political Science Department, the ASUU national body presented awards to two students, Iba Salome Odu of the Political Science department and Sani Sufyan Zakariyya of the Computer Science department, with a sum of N200,000 each.

Additionally, the ASUU FULafia Branch awarded scholarships of N75,000 each to four students: Shukoah Olatanwa Hafiz and Olorunyomi Rejoice Oluwadamilola of the Mass Communication department, Moses Blessing Obiye of the Sociology department, and Ibrahim Zainab Abari of the Zoology department.

Dr. Sunday Orinya, the ASUU Chairman of FULafia Branch, presented the award letters to the students and urged them to work harder to excel in their academics. "ASUU is proud of you and we believe you will make us proud," he said.

The scholarship awards are aimed at supporting and encouraging academic excellence among students at FULafia.
