NSCDC to Build Security Outpost at Nasarawa State University

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) will establish an outpost at Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK). This announcement was made by the NSCDC Commandant-General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni, during a meeting with NSUK Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, at the Command Headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

Dr. Audi highlighted that the construction of the outpost would significantly enhance the university's security framework. This initiative aligns with the Federal Government's safe school initiative, which aims to provide a secure learning environment for students and staff. In addition, Dr. Audi congratulated Professor Sa'adatu on her recent appointment as the first female indigenous Vice-Chancellor of NSUK. He expressed his commitment to maintaining the strong relationship between the NSCDC and the university, and encouraged further collaboration between the two institutions.

Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman expressed her gratitude during the visit, emphasizing the importance of strategic partnerships for the university. She thanked Dr. Audi for his generosity, noting previous contributions such as the donation of an ambulance and the establishment of the safe school initiative headquarters at NSUK. These efforts have been instrumental in ensuring the stability and safety of the university community.

The visit concluded with the exchange of souvenirs between Dr. Audi and Professor Sa'adatu, symbolizing the strengthened partnership between NSCDC and NSUK.
