NSUK Community Pays Final Respects to Pioneer Vice-Chancellor, Emeritus Prof. Adamu Baikie

The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, on Tuesday, 23rd December 2025, led a delegation of the University community to the burial of the late pioneer Vice-Chancellor and immediate past Chairman of the Governing Council of the University, Emeritus Professor Adamu David Baikie.

The Vice-Chancellor was joined by the Pro-Chancellor of the University, Professor Attahiru Muhammadu Jega, alongside other council members, principal officers and members of the University community. They joined eminent Nigerians in Wusasa, Zaria, Kaduna State, to pay their last respects to the elder statesman and academic icon.

Emeritus Professor Adamu David Baikie, fondly referred to as Baba Baikie, passed on to eternal glory on Friday, 12th December 2025, at the age of 94. He will be fondly remembered for laying the solid academic and administrative foundation upon which Nasarawa State University, Keffi continues to grow and thrive.

The University community remains deeply grateful for his visionary leadership, selfless service, and enduring legacy.
