During the recent matriculation ceremony for the 2023/2024 session at Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe (NOCEN), the newly-appointed Provost, Dr. Justina Anyadiegwu, issued a stern warning against cultism. Addressing the newly admitted students, Dr. Anyadiegwu emphasized the institution's stance of zero tolerance towards cult activities.

She announced the establishment of confidential communication channels, including WhatsApp phone lines and email addresses, for students to report any form of maltreatment anonymously. Anyadiegwu stressed the severity of consequences, stating that law enforcement agents would arrest and prosecute anyone found involved in cultism or other illegal activities within the college premises.

The Provost urged students to resist negative peer pressure and maintain focus on their studies, emphasizing the importance of aspiring to excellence. Expressing gratitude to the State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, for her appointment, Dr. Anyadiegwu pledged to uphold the college's standards in line with the Solution Agenda.

The Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, represented by Mrs. Oyibo Alor, echoed the call for excellence and discipline among the new intakes.
