Professor Tukur revealed that the Faculty of Agriculture welcomed 348 students, the Faculty of Education admitted 241 students, the Faculty of Engineering enrolled 355 students, and the Faculty of Environmental Sciences registered 257 students.

The Modibbo Adama University (MAU) Yola has conducted its matriculation ceremony, welcoming a total of 3,579 students into various academic departments for the new session.

During the ceremony held at the university's main campus in Girei on Wednesday, March 27, Professor Liman Tukur, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, highlighted the institution's growing capacity to nurture students, citing the steady increase in matriculating students as evidence.

Professor Tukur emphasized the institution's commitment to expanding its holding capacity, noting recent developments such as the restarting of programs in the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences and the establishment of the College of Medical Sciences, which contributed to the large number of new students.

Providing a breakdown of the matriculating students across faculties, Professor Tukur revealed that the Faculty of Agriculture welcomed 348 students, the Faculty of Education admitted 241 students, the Faculty of Engineering enrolled 355 students, and the Faculty of Environmental Sciences registered 257 students.

Additionally, the Faculty of Life Sciences matriculated 675 students, the Faculty of Physical Sciences admitted 484 students, the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences enrolled 495 students, while the College of Medical Sciences welcomed 50 students. Furthermore, the Centre of Distance Learning registered 559 students, and the Sandwich Degree Program admitted 125 students.

Addressing the new students, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of not only academic excellence but also character development. He encouraged students to utilize the university's counselling department and student affairs office for personal welfare and the collective advancement of the institution.
