The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is currently awaiting instructions from the Federal Government regarding the adjustment of corps members' allowances in light of the recent approval of a new minimum wage of ₦70,000.

Caroline Embu, Acting Director of the NYSC's Information and Public Relations unit, confirmed this in a statement to our correspondent on Tuesday. She highlighted that while the increase in the national minimum wage has been approved, any potential rise in the stipends for corps members will be subject to federal directives.
