NYSC Restrategizes Mobilisation Process Ahead 2023 Batch 'B' Camp

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has restrategized its mobilization process ahead of the 2023 Batch 'B' camping exercise.

Myschoolnews reports NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Yusha'u Dogara Ahmed disclosed this during the opening ceremony of the 2023 Batch 'B' Pre-Mobilisation Workshop with the theme; "Re-Strategizing the NYSC Mobilization Process for Optimal Performance in the Golden Jubilee Era", held in Abuja over the weekend.

He said the importance of the workshop cannot be over-emphasized as it provides the platform for the commencement of a new batch in the Service year, where strategies are fashioned for the success of the mobilization process.

He noted the lessons learnt from the implementation of decisions reached at the last workshop are expected to influence the participants' deliberations towards better performance in the forthcoming 2023 Batch 'B' mobilization exercise.

"We observed disharmony between uploads and hardcopies of documents of Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) which has unfortunately often times led to their denial of enrolment for service.

Another area of concern is the non-compliance with laid down procedures for data uploads

which has invariably led to the mobilization of unqualified candidates for service", the DG said.

The Permanent Secretary, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Mr Olusade Adesola, who was represented by the Director, Finance and Accounts, Mrs Justina Pawa while declaring the workshop open said the FCT administration will continue to partner with the Scheme to see to the successful implementation of its lofty objectives.

He therefore urged all participants to participate actively and formulate practicable steps in achieving a seamless mobilisation process.

Earlier in her introductory address, the Director, Corps Mobilization, Hajia Walida Siddique Isa said the NYSC mobilization process is constantly evolving, and it is crucial for the effective mobilization and registration for participation in the NYSC Scheme.

In attendance at the workshop were the Student Affairs Officers (SAOs), Data Entry Officers (DEOs) of all the Corps Producing Institutions in the country, National Universities Commission (NUC) among others.
