In response to a viral video depicting an alleged assault by a lecturer on a part-two student, the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) management has assured the public that justice will be served appropriately. The University's Vice Chancellor, Professor Adebayo Simeon BAMIRE, has initiated steps to form a committee that will thoroughly investigate the incident.
Mr. Abiodun Olanrewaju, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, emphasized that the actions portrayed in the video are not reflective of the university's character. He stated, "We are a decent and diligent set of people who will not tolerate any form of abuse or maltreatment from anyone." The university extends an apology to those whose sensibilities may have been affected.
