OGITECH Appoints Mr. Abdulsalam Yunus Ololade as First Substantive Bursar
The Management of the Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Abdulsalam Yunus Ololade as the Institute's first substantive Bursar.
The appointment was approved on Thursday, 26th March, 2026, by the third Governing Council under the leadership of the Chairman, Chief Ayotunde Ola Odulaja, and the visionary Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye. This milestone marks a significant step in the institution's commitment to administrative excellence and financial transparency.
Mr. Abdulsalam brings over three decades of robust experience in financial management, auditing, and accounting into the financial administration of the Institute. The seasoned professional has served OGITECH with distinction since 2008, rising through the ranks from the Salary and Wages section to becoming the Chief Accountant and, most recently, the Acting Bursar.

His career has been marked by a blend of private and public sector experience garnered from organizations such as Wema Bank Plc, Honda Manufacturing Nigeria Ltd, and some chartered accounting firms.
A scholar and certified professional, Mr. Abdulsalam holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Accounting from Crawford University, Igbesa. His foundational training includes a Higher National Diploma (HND) from The Polytechnic Ibadan and a National Diploma (ND) from Yaba College of Technology.
He is a Certified National Accountant (CNA) and a proud member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN). His quest for knowledge has taken him across the globe, attending high-level leadership and management training at Pretoria University, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
During his tenure in the Bursary Department, Mr. Abdulsalam has been a catalyst for modernization. His key achievements include:
Digital Transformation: Leading the computerization of the Bursary Department and the successful implementation of the Sage Accounting Package.
Student-Centred Solutions: Operationalizing the students’ payment portal and a unified electronic payment system to enhance ease of transactions.
Institutional Growth: Efficiently managing funds for the accreditation of 29 academic programmes by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), as well as overseeing financial logistics for various matriculation and convocation ceremonies.
Fiscal Responsibility: Maintaining a clean financial record for over a decade and representing the Institute at State Annual Budget Retreats for ten consecutive years.
Beyond his professional duties, Mr. Abdulsalam is a dedicated family man and an active participant in social responsibility, previously serving as the Auditor for the Isokan Community Development Authority in Osi Ota.
The Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, expressed full confidence in Mr. Abdulsalam’s ability to steer the financial affairs of the Institute toward even greater heights, citing his integrity, innovation, and deep-rooted knowledge of the institution's financial landscape.
