The 1999 Alumni Association of the Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences (OACHS), under Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ogun State, has successfully renovated the university’s Glass House lecture hall and donated essential teaching aids to enhance educational facilities at the institution.

This renovation project was unveiled during the association’s celebration of its 25th year since graduation. According to a statement issued on Sunday, OOU’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ayodeji Agboola, commended the alumni’s effort, highlighting it as the first initiative of this kind by an alumni group. He encouraged other alumni sets to consider similar contributions to aid the university’s development.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the OACHS 1999 Alumni Association, Dr. John Akinola, detailed the renovation’s scope, which included replacing the hall’s ceiling, installing new lighting and electrical fittings, adding benches and tables, replacing windowpanes, and repainting the building both inside and out. In addition, teaching aids—such as a public address system, projector, and whiteboards—valued at approximately N22 million, were donated to further support students and faculty.
