PAAU Excels at the International Forum of the Russian-African Consortium
Dr. Adamu Lukman Musa of Prince Abubakar Audu University showcased his research at the International Forum of the Russian-African Consortium, highlighting the institution's commitment to global scientific collaboration.
Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) is making waves on the international stage as Dr. Adamu Lukman Musa from the Department of Earth Sciences was selected to present his scientific proposal at the Empress Catherine II St. Petersburg Mining University, Russian Federation, from October 15 to 18, 2024.
Dr. Adamu was among a select group of young African scientists whose work was showcased at this prestigious forum, an initiative of the Russian-African Consortium aimed at fostering cooperation in educational and scientific spheres. The forum also focuses on developing the mining and processing of raw materials in Africa.
His research presentation, titled “Geochemical, Sedimentological and Palaeoecological Studies of Albian-Coniacian Successions in the Middle Benue Trough, Nigeria: Implications for Petroleum Potential,” garnered significant attention. Notably, over a hundred applications from various African countries were submitted for consideration, but Dr. Adamu's submission was among the top ten selected for participation in the youth forum-contest for young researchers from BRICS countries, themed “Topical Issues of Rational Uses of Natural Resources.”
This achievement underscores the dedication and vision of PAAU's Vice Chancellor, Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche, whose selfless and progressive drive has positioned the university for enhanced global visibility.
