The Prada Uzodimma Imo Indigenes Law Scholarship Grant (PUIISG) aims to uplift aspiring lawyers, with an increase from five to 15 beneficiaries since 2021. During the Abuja ceremony, Barr. In a commendable initiative to support the aspirations of indigent law students across Nigeria, Barr. Prada Uzodimma, daughter of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, has revealed the success of her Prada Uzodimma Law School Scholarship Grant (PUSG) since its inception. Having sponsored 30 law students under the PUSG, she announced plans to launch the Prada Uzodimma Imo Indigenes Law Scholarship Grant (PUIISG).
During the award ceremony for the 2023 beneficiaries held in Abuja, Barr. Prada Uzodimma emphasized her commitment to easing the financial burdens faced by aspiring young lawyers, particularly those from indigent backgrounds. She highlighted that the focus of the scholarship program is on providing opportunities to indigent students, ensuring that they have the chance to fulfill their dreams of becoming legal professionals.

The PUSG, launched in partnership with Principle Legal Consult in 2021, started with five successful beneficiaries. In 2022, the number of beneficiaries increased to 10, and this year, 15 students were awarded scholarships. Barr. Prada Uzodimma emphasized that the scholarship is not based on academic brilliance but is directed at supporting students with financial constraints.

Furthermore, Barr. Prada Uzodimma announced the upcoming launch of the Prada Uzodimma Imo Indigenes Law Scholarship Grant (PUIISG). This new scholarship will specifically cater to the educational needs of Imo indigenes studying law at any state or federal university in Nigeria.
In her call to action, Barr. Prada Uzodimma urged well-to-do Nigerians with goodwill to support the initiative, emphasizing that such sponsorship would contribute to realizing the dreams of aspiring law students across the country.
