FHA Executive Director Gisaor Explores Housing Partnership with FUHSO

The Executive Director, Housing Finance and Account, Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Dr. Vincent Iorja Gisaor, has held discussions with the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO), Professor Francis Aba Uba, on a possible collaboration between the Authority and the institution for the provision of housing infrastructure.

The interaction, which took place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, focused on opportunities for the Federal Housing Authority to provide housing infrastructure within or around the University.

During the meeting, Dr. Gisaor extended an invitation to FUHSO for a partnership that could facilitate the provision of FHA housing infrastructure for members of staff of the institution.

He expressed the readiness of the Authority to collaborate with FUHSO in providing accessible and affordable housing for University staff.

The Executive Director noted that such collaboration would complement the ongoing efforts of the Federal Housing Authority to bridge the nation’s housing deficit and bring affordable housing opportunities closer to Nigerians, particularly workers and members of organised institutions.

Dr. Gisaor further stated that the initiative was in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, particularly the Federal Government’s commitment to providing decent and affordable housing for Nigerians.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Francis Aba Uba, expressed delight over the visit and welcomed the proposed partnership.

He said the University had been looking forward to an opportunity to access the FHA housing scheme, describing the initiative as timely and beneficial to members of staff.

Professor Uba further encouraged Dr. Gisaor to extend the initiative to other tertiary institutions across the country, noting that such partnerships would create opportunities for more workers to access decent, affordable and sustainable housing.
