President Tinubu Appoints BUK DVC, Professor Amina Mustapha, To FUBK Governing Council

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Development of Bayero University, Kano, BUK, Professor Amina Mustapha, as a Member of the Governing Council of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi, FUBK.

The appointment was conveyed by the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Maruf Alausa, and took effect from 18th May, 2026. It was facilitated by the Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Said Ahmad.

Professor Mustapha currently serves as the first female Deputy Vice-Chancellor in the history of Bayero University, Kano.

The appointment is expected to bring her wealth of experience in research, academic leadership, and university administration to bear on the governance of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi.

Colleagues, students and well-wishers have congratulated Professor Mustapha on the new national assignment.
