President Tinubu Approves N110 Billion for Medical Education in 18 Universities

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a N110 billion intervention fund to upgrade medical education in 18 Nigerian universities. Each university will receive approximately N4 billion, with N750 million allocated for hostel construction.

The funds will be used to rehabilitate medical faculties, build new facilities, and improve student hostels for medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and dentistry students. The initiative aims to boost local capacity to produce healthcare professionals and enhance the quality of medical education in Nigeria.
