The university outlined three common mistakes that could jeopardize admission chances and urged aspirants to be vigilant in avoiding them.

1. Incorrect Subject Combinations: PAAU warned that despite a high UTME score or screening aggregate, choosing the wrong subject combination can lead to admission denial or a forced course transfer. Prospective students should ensure that their subjects align with the course requirements.

2. Applying for an Unmerited Course: The university advised against applying for courses with cutoff marks beyond an aspirant’s UTME score. Instead, candidates are encouraged to consider alternative courses that match their scores and make necessary adjustments on the JAMB portal.

3. Failure to Upload O'Level Results on JAMB Portal: PAAU emphasized the importance of uploading O'Level results on the JAMB CAPS. Aspirants should visit a certified CBT center to upload their results accurately and verify that they appear correctly on the portal.
