Profs Junaidu, Mahadi emerge Council members, at ABU Senate to Council election

Senate Electoral Committee of Ahmadu Bello University had on Tuesday, 26th September, 2023, conducted various elections into Governing Council, Governing Boards, Professional and Academic Boards and other committees.

The election, which took place at the Senate Chamber of the University, was generally peaceful. 

Prof. Junaidu Kabir and Prof. Musa Abdullahi Mahadi are coming for the first time as elected members of the Governing Council, while Prof. Abubakar Muhammad Madaki and Prof. Sadiq Umar were re-elected. 

Similarly, members of the Governing Boards, Professional and Academic Boards, as well as various committees were elected during the elections. 

The Chairman, Senate Electoral Committee, Prof. H. M. Kazeem, presented the elections results to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, yesterday. 

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor, commended the electoral committee members’ dedication throughout the exercise. 

The Vice-Chancellor then congratulated the winners and prayed for success.
