Rotary Club Boosts Neonatal Care at FUTH Lafia with Donation of Incubators, Phototherapy Equipment

The Rotary Club of Lafia has donated two baby incubators and two phototherapy lights to FUTH Lafia to strengthen neonatal healthcare services aiming at improving the survival chances of vulnerable infants requiring specialized medical attention.

Speaking during the presentation, Rotary Club President, Emmanuel Joseph Attah explained that the intervention followed an assessment conducted by the club, which revealed the growing need for additional neonatal care equipment in the hospital, noting that the donation reflects the club’s commitment to humanitarian service and community healthcare support.

Management of the hospital appreciated the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful to both patients and the hospital’s neonatal unit, stressing that the incubators and phototherapy light will go a long way to improve the quality of care for newborns.

While installation is carried out, official commissioning and handing over of the equipment is expected to take place on Monday 19th.
