Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Final-Year Student Murdered in Suspected Cult Attack

A tragic incident has rocked Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State, as a 25-year-old student, Ayodele Peter, was brutally killed in what police believe to be a cult-related attack.

Ayodele was reportedly attacked in his residence at the Opomulero area of Owo by suspected cultists. He was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, but sadly succumbed to his injuries. The killing occurred while he was still mourning the loss of his mother, who died about three weeks ago.

The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the incident, revealing that one suspect has been arrested, while a manhunt is ongoing for other accomplices. Police authorities have assured residents of heightened security across the state and called on the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
