The School of Nursing, University College Hospital, Ibadan, Alumni Association (SONUCHIAA) has inducted graduates of the UCH School of Nursing, Class of 2022, as new members of the association.

The induction ceremony was held on January 19, 2026, at the Omolade Hall, School of Nursing, UCH, Ibadan, and marked the formal integration of the new graduates into the alumni body.

In her welcome address, the President of the Alumni Association, Prof. Titilola Filani, congratulated the inductees and acknowledged the rigours of their training at the School of Nursing. She noted that the graduates had spent three years acquiring both clinical competence and the values of empathy and compassion required in professional nursing practice.

Prof. Filani emphasised that graduation from the UCH School of Nursing represents more than the award of a certificate, describing it as the inheritance of a longstanding legacy of excellence with global relevance. She reminded the inductees that they now belong to a distinguished lineage of professionals trained within the UCH tradition.

Delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, Prof. Olubukola Adesina, urged the new alumni to uphold the core values of professionalism, integrity, lifelong learning, and service to humanity.

She further encouraged the inductees to maintain unity, collaboration, and mutual support, noting that strong alumni engagement with one another and with their alma mater is critical to strengthening the nursing profession and improving healthcare outcomes in Nigeria and beyond.
