South African Scholar Seeks Collaboration with ABU

A South African scholar, Prof. M B C Simelane of the University of Johannesburg, has expressed interest in collaborating with Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, in research.

During a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adamu Ahmed, Prof. Simelane highlighted his existing Memorandum of Understanding with Prof. Mohammed Auwal Ibrahim of the Department of Biochemistry.

The collaboration has already yielded five joint journal articles and commercialization of some research findings. The Vice-Chancellor welcomed the development, noting that ABU has built capacity in research and is striving to commercialize all research outputs.
