1. Delta State

Delta State is a state in the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria.

This State has two federal universities which is the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun and Nigerian Maritime University in Okerenkoko, this two universities are owned by the federal government

2. Lagos State

This state is home to two Federal Universities; The federal University of Lagos State(founded in 1962) and the National Open University Of Nigeria, Lagos State (founded in 1983)

3. Kano State

This state is also home to two Federal Universities; Bayero University Kano (founded in 1962) and Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil (founded in 1988).

In 2012, the Federal Government of Nigeria upgraded the Nigerian Police Academy Wudil to a degree-awarding institution.
