Taraba State University Reaches New Heights in Nursing Education

Taraba State University, Jalingo, has achieved a significant milestone in its Nursing Science program with the successful hosting of its first-ever Pre-Council Examination for 400-level Nursing students.

Theexamination, which took place from August 21st to 23rd, 2024, marks a crucial step towards preparing students for their professional qualifying exams scheduled for November 2024.

The Pre-Council Examination, comprising three sections, including a Computer-Based Test (CBT), is designed to assess students' readiness for the Nursing Council examination. Dr. Oluwatoyin A. Ogunyewo, Associate Professor from the University of Jos, served as the external supervisor, ensuring the examination's integrity and standards.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Paul Bako, represented by Dr. Rhoda Sammala Onyekwena, Head of Department (HOD) Nursing Science, commended the efforts of the university management, Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas, and the entire staff for their unwavering support, which has been instrumental in achieving departmental accreditation.
