LASU School of Basic and Advanced Studies (LASUSBAS) Receives Praise for JUPEB 2024 Final Examination

The Lagos State University School of Basic and Advanced Studies (LASUSBAS) has garnered commendations for its seamless handling of the ongoing Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) 2024 final examination. Professor Solomon Akinboye, the chief examination supervisor from the University of Lagos, lauded the School’s effective mechanisms in place to ensure a smooth examination process. He also praised the conduct of the students during the exams.

Speaking on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, Professor Akinboye shared his impressions during a visit to the LASUSBAS Campus in Topo, Badagry. He stated, “The exam has been running seamlessly, and we are impressed. Apart from minor teething problems, which are normal, everything has been smooth so far.”

Professor Yunus Adeleke Dauda, the Director of the School, echoed this sentiment. He expressed enthusiasm about the students’ level of preparation, anticipating excellent performance in the exams. As a professor of Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management, Professor Dauda emphasized the School’s meticulous preparation. He credited the university management for providing the necessary support to ensure a successful examination process.

“We have one of the largest cohorts of students in this program so far,” Professor Dauda added. “We’ve taken care of all their needs to ensure their success. With their thorough preparation and the management’s support, I believe our students will achieve outstanding results.”

During the examination, Professor Dauda oversaw the process alongside Deputy Director Dr. Ronke Saibu and Assistant Director Dr. Waheed Akingbade. Their collective efforts contributed to the smooth conduct of the JUPEB 2024 final examination at LASUSBAS.

The Lagos State University School of Basic and Advanced Studies (LASUSBAS) has maintained its reputation for excellence in conducting the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) 2024 final examination. This year, a total of 733 students were admitted into the LASUSBAS JUPEB program, with 476 students participating in the Chemistry Practical examination held on Wednesday.

The examination process was meticulously managed, ensuring a controlled and secure environment. Students underwent rigorous security checks and biometric clearance before entering the examination hall. This stringent approach reflects LASUSBAS’s commitment to maintaining academic integrity and fairness.
