The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) Governing Council has received a significant boost as the Deji and paramount ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, pledged unwavering support to the institution. 

During a visit by the new Council led by Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Senator Professor Nora Daduut, Oba Aladelusi expressed his commitment to FUTA's success.

"The palace of the Deji of Akure will always be in 100 percent partnership with the Federal University of Technology Akure," declared Oba Aladelusi. "We are totally committed to the university's progress. Your tenure will bring peace and contribute to FUTA's development, making it one of Nigeria's premier universities."

Oba Aladelusi commended FUTA's academic achievements, emphasizing its outstanding research output and scholarship programs. "FUTA consistently blazes the trail academically," he stated. "I am proud to be associated with the school, which stands as a pride to Ondo State and Nigeria." The royal father congratulated the new governing council members and assured them of the palace's open doors.

Professor Oladiji also praised Akure indigenes among FUTA's staff for their resourcefulness and contributions to the institution's development.
