Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto to Host Digest Festival Debate Competition

Four faculties from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) will engage in a debate competition at the upcoming Digest annual Festival, scheduled for September 22, 2024, at the A10 lecture hall.

The faculties participating in the competition are:

- Faculty of Law

- Faculty of Management Sciences

- Faculty of Social Sciences

Each faculty will be represented by a team of two students, who will present their arguments on the topic: "The Removal of Fuel Subsidy: A Step Forward in Economic Reform or a Burden on Citizens?"

This topic has been a subject of national debate since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced the removal of fuel subsidies during his inauguration, sparking discussions on its impact on the economy and citizens.
