Kano State Government Announces Postgraduate Scholarships for 2025 Academic Session
The Kano State Government has announced the availability of postgraduate scholarships for the 2025 Academic Session.
The scholarships are open to suitably qualified graduates who meet the specified requirements.
To be eligible, applicants must be a recognized indigene of Kano State, hold a First-Class Honours Degree or equivalent from a reputable university or institution, and be aged 30 years or younger for four-to-five-year degree holders or 35 years or younger for degrees exceeding five years.¹
Additional requirements include demonstrating good health through a valid medical fitness certificate, completing the NYSC programme or possessing a valid exemption or exclusion certificate, and not currently benefiting from any other scholarship or full sponsorship programme.
Applicants must also submit a personal statement of approximately 500 words and agree to the terms and conditions of the scholarship if awarded.
The application process requires printing the completed form and attaching the following documents: birth certificate, indigene certificate, primary school certificate, WASC/GCE/SSCE/NABTEB/NBAIS certificate, degree certificate, academic transcript, and medical fitness certificate.
