In a notable achievement, Team Toju emerged as the winner of the Innovation Challenge: Ideation Hack, a competition hosted by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) Hub at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) on November 16, 2023. The event, supported by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), was co-funded by the European Union (EU) and Digital Transformation Center, Nigeria.

In a triumphant moment, Team Toju secured the top spot at the Innovation Challenge: Ideation Hack hosted by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) Hub at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) on Thursday, November 16, 2023. The competition, powered by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), an international development organization, and co-funded by the European Union (EU) and Digital Transformation Center, Nigeria, featured participation from other dynamic teams including Team Petro, Team Padi, and Team Innovate.

The event showcased innovative presentations from each team, focusing on ideating and providing technology-driven solutions to specific challenges. The esteemed panel of judges comprised GIZ Board Member, Mrs. Anna Herken; GIZ Country Director in Nigeria, Mr. Marcus Wagner; Commission Manager, GIZ/OTC, Nigeria, Dr. Thuweba Diwani; and Cluster Coordinator, SEDEC, Mr. Marcus Wauschukn.

Team Toju, consisting of six members, impressed the panel with their design of an application aimed at enhancing consumers' engagement and providing timely access to various products. Dr. Thuweba Diwani, who announced the winner, commended Team Toju for their innovative thinking and assured all participating teams of future opportunities to showcase their skills and excel.
