UCH CMD’s Special Assistant Honoured by Medical Social Workers Association

The Special Assistant to the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Mr. Adekunle Alao, has been presented with an Award of Excellence by the Association of Medical Social Workers of Nigeria (AMSWON), Oyo State Chapter.

The Special Assistant to the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Mr. Adekunle Alao, has been presented with an Award of Excellence by the Association of Medical Social Workers of Nigeria (AMSWON), Oyo State Chapter.

The award was conferred on Tuesday, 30th September 2025, during the Association’s Quarterly Seminar held at the Physiotherapy Hall of UCH. It was in recognition of Mr. Alao’s continuous support and contributions to the growth and activities of the Association.

Speaking during the presentation, the Oyo State Chairman of AMSWON, Dr. Lekan Adeleke, commended Mr. Alao for his commitment to promoting quality healthcare delivery and fostering collaboration within the medical community. He noted that the honour was well-deserved and reflected the Association’s appreciation for individuals who have positively impacted the health sector.

In his response, Mr. Alao expressed gratitude to the Association for the recognition, describing it as a motivation to further support initiatives that enhance healthcare delivery and strengthen professional practice. He pledged to continue contributing to the advancement of AMSWON’s objectives and the healthcare system at large.
