UCH Management Pledges Support as NAPRAS and NBIS Set Date for National Conference in Ibadan

The Nigerian Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (NAPRAS) paid a courtesy visit to the management of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, on 30th April 2026, at the hospital’s boardroom.

The Head of Department, Prof. Olayinka Olawoye, said the purpose of the visit was to introduce the Local organizing Committee(LOC),of the Nigerian Burn Injuries Society (NBIS) and to intimate the management about the 31st NAPRAS and 19th NBIS Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference, scheduled to hold from 18th to 22nd August 2026 at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.

Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Dr. Kayode Iyun, said the conference is intended for plastic and reconstructive surgeons, as well as consultants from related surgical specialties. He also sought the management’s support towards the event.

The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, warmly welcomed NAPRAS, NBIS and commended them for placing UCH at the forefront of plastic surgery in Nigeria. He pledged the management’s support for the association.
