UDUS Alumnus Ahmad Mashood Overcomes Adversity to Achieve Academic Success

Ahmad Mashood, a Sociology graduate of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), has shared his inspiring story of perseverance and academic excellence. Despite facing significant challenges, including a devastating hostel fire and the loss of his mother, Mashood remained determined to succeed.

Mashood's academic journey was marked by impressive achievements, including a 4.47 CGPA in his 100-level studies and a 4.50 CGPA in his 300-level studies. He attributes his success to his flexible study approach and motivation from lecturers and peers.

Beyond academics, Mashood gained valuable experience as the Secretary General of the Nigerian Sociology and Anthropology Students Association, UDUS Chapter. He offers advice to undergraduates, emphasizing the importance of taking control of their schedules, prioritizing their health, and being prayerful.
