Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto Promotes 13 Staff to Professors, 17 to Readers

The management of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto UDUS has Promoted 13 Staff to Professors, and 17 to Readers, The Governing Council of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, under the chairmanship of Senator Ibrahim M. Ida, CON (Wazirin Katsina), approved the promotion.

At its 165 meeting, The Governing Council of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, under the chairmanship of Senator Ibrahim M. Ida, CON (Wazirin Katsina), has approved the promotion of 13 members of the academic staff to the rank of Professor.

The Professors are:

1. Dr. Aabubakar S. Muhammad (Professor of Plant Pathology)

2. Dr. Musa Mukhtar (Professor of Agronomy)

3. Dr. Aminu Alhaji Bala (Professor of Da’awah)

4. Dr. Shehu A Aboki (Professor of Islamic Thought)

5. Dr. LAwal Abdulkareem (Professor of Islamic Thought)

6. Dr. Mansur O. Raji (Professor of Community Health)

7. Dr. Awosan K Joseph (Professor of Community Health)

8. Dr. Mustala M. Ahmad (Professor of Paediatrics)

9. Dr. Bilkisu G. Ilah (Professor of Paediatrics)

10. Dr. Garba H Yunusa (Professor of Radiology)

11. Dr. Ibrahim Sani (Professor of Nigerian Govt & Politics)

12. Dr. Muazu A Shamaki (Professor of Demography & Population Health)

13. Dr. Ibrahim Abdullahi (Professor of International Law & Jurisprudence).

In addition to the professors, the Council also approved the promotion of 17 members of staff has been approved to the rank of Reader.

All the promotions are with effect from 1st January 2022.
