UDUS to Conduct "Grand Sanitation Exercise" at UDUTH and City Campus Hostels

The Deputy Dean Student Affairs, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), Professor Zayyanu Usman, had earlier today, Friday distributed cleaning materials to hall governors and hostel representatives at UDUTH and City Campus of the university to promote a clean and healthy environment.

The grand sanitation exercise was scheduled to be held tomorrow, Saturday, 7th of February , 2026, across the two campuses, aims to ensure a clean and hygienic living space for students and is expected of all students to take part in it.

Professor Zayyanu, who has consistently emphasized on students' health and well being, charges the students to maintain proper hygiene by avoiding littering the facilities with dirt. 

He asserted by urging all students to be part of the initiative as he promised to lead from the front as the sanitation commences. 

Among other initiatives includes periodic room to room inspection, all of these are geared towards to ensuring a safe and hygienic students environment.

Speaking on the initiative, the president of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Medical Student Association(UDUMSA), Abubakar Abdullahi described the sanitation exercise as an avenue to create a hygienic environment. He also urged all students staying in both the City Campus and UDUTH campus hostels to fully participate in the sanitation.
