University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has opened applications for various programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session, with prospective candidates advised to take note of the different application deadlines.

The university’s Post-UTME screening application is currently ongoing, with the deadline fixed for August 26, 2026.

In addition to the undergraduate admission process, UNIABUJA has opened application portals for its IJMB, Sandwich, Postgraduate, Centre for Distance Learning (CDL)/Part-Time and MBA programmes for the new academic session.

Prospective applicants are expected to complete their applications before the following deadlines:

Post-UTME Screening: August 26, 2026

CDL/Part-Time Studies: September 30, 2026

MBA Regular and Executive: November 30, 2026

The university has, however, issued an important notice to Direct Entry (DE) applicants.

According to the university, Direct Entry candidates should not commence their applications or make payments yet, as the UNIABUJA Direct Entry application portal has not been activated.

Candidates who have already completed their JAMB conversion may also continue to see themselves listed as UTME candidates on the university’s portal until the Direct Entry application process is formally activated.

UNIABUJA advised affected candidates to wait for an official announcement confirming the activation of the Direct Entry portal.

The university said this would help prevent candidates from having their applications processed under the wrong admission category.

Prospective students have also been advised to rely only on UNIABUJA’s official communication channels for admission information.

Applicants are encouraged to verify the status of the relevant application portal before making any payment and to avoid relying on unofficial sources or unverified payment platforms.

Candidates seeking admission into the University of Abuja for the 2026/2027 academic session are therefore advised to take note of their respective deadlines and complete their applications on time.

For Direct Entry candidates, the university’s instruction remains clear: wait for the official activation of the Direct Entry portal before applying or making any payment.
