UNIBEN Graduate Receives NYSC Commendation for Outstanding Service in Kogi State

Santos Oluwadamilare Taiwo, a Mass Communication graduate from the University of Benin (UNIBEN), received a commendation from the NYSC Kogi State Coordinator during the 2023 Batch 'C' Stream 1 Passing Out Parade (POP) held on October 10, 2024.

Taiwo's outstanding contributions throughout his service year earned him recognition for his leadership and dedication. During his time at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Kabba, Taiwo served as the Orientation Broadcasting Service (OBS) Editorial Corps team leader, demonstrating excellent leadership skills.

He was instrumental in producing two editions of the Kogi Kopa magazine and served as the Vice President and Deputy Corps Editor-in-Chief of the publication. Additionally, he took on the role of Editorial and Publicity CDS Public Relations Officer, further showcasing his communication and organizational skills.

Taiwo also utilized his professional voiceover skills, contributing to the creation of a sanitation audio jingle against Cholera and the official 2024 Batch 'B' stream 1 State Coordinator's Welcome jingle video for NYSC Kogi State.

His journalism expertise shone through in reporting corps members' activities, earning him a certificate of meritorious service from his Place of Primary Assignment at the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).
