UNICAL Critical Mass/Nigeria Youth Aid Programme (CM/NYAP) Committee Gets New Leadership
The Critical Mass/Nigeria Youth Aid Programme (CM/NYAP) Committee, University of Calabar, has been constituted under Dr Paul Odey of the Department of Anatomical Sciences.

Other members of the committee include Dr Ofem Enang (Internal Medicine), the University Counselor, Dr Margaret Atsu, Dr Theophilus Ugbem (Histopathology), the Chief Nursing Officer, Medical Health Centre, Nurse Mmomo Agbor and the Vice President of the Student Union Government.
The list issued in a release by the Registrar of the University of Calabar, Mr Gabriel Egbe also includes the President, of Youth Friendly Hub, Dr Helen Mboto and the secretary of the committee, Mrs Grace Ibor.

The terms of reference assigned to the committee include the identification of emerging challenges and opportunities related to Youth development in Nigeria and the recommendation of strategies to address them; facilitating collaboration and coordination among stakeholders involved in Youth development efforts and advocating for increased investment in Youth development and empowerment programmes at the national, state and local levels.
Others include the conduct of periodic evaluations and assessments of the impact and effectiveness of the programme as well as preparation and submission of periodic reports on the activities, achievements and challenges of the programme to Management and other relevant stakeholders.

According to the Registrar, the appointment is for two years with effect from May 9, 2024, and supersedes the letter earlier issued on this same subject matter.
