UNIDEL VC Urges New Students to Prioritize Academic Excellence

The University of Delta, Agbor, has concluded its 2024/2025 orientation exercise for newly admitted students. Vice Chancellor Prof. Stella Chiemeke commended the students for their impressive turnout and composure during the two-day event.
Prof. Chiemeke urged the students to prioritize academic excellence, integrity, and responsible behavior. "Take your studies seriously, graduate on time with excellent results, and maintain a high level of integrity," she advised.
The orientation exercise, held at Owa-Oyibu and Owa-Alero Campuses, covered faculties including Management Sciences, Social Sciences, Law, Engineering, and Environmental Sciences.
Registrar Barrister Richmond Omagbemi, Bursar Mr. Sunny Ikeogwu, and Librarian Dr. Mrs. Vera Okonoko addressed the students on rules and regulations, financial responsibilities, and the importance of the library, respectively.
Other resource persons, including Dr. Rufus Ijeh, Prof. Kola Oladunmonye, Mrs. Sandra Akporherhe, Mr. Sunday Nwabuwe, Rev. Canon Obiaigwe, and CAN Silas Omobude from the NDLEA, shared insights on various topics.
Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Patricia Mbah, Prof. Regina Arisi, Prof. Ben Nwanne, Dr. Andrew Ugbah, Prof. Isi Ikhuoria, and other Deans, Directors, and Heads of Departments attended the event.
Students expressed gratitude to the university management for the orientation exercise, pledging to adhere to campus rules and regulations.
