UNILAG Commences Seven-Day Capacity Building Programme for Staff Career Transition

The Staff Training and Development Unit (ST&DU) of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially kicked off a week-long intensive training session designed for staff members transitioning into Administrative, Executive, and Technical cadres.

The programme, themed "Filling the Gaps, Boosting Capacity," commenced on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Faculty of Life Sciences Boardroom. It serves as a mandatory preparatory phase for personnel recommended for conversion across various service departments of the university.

The initiative is focused on equipping internal candidates with the specialized skills and institutional knowledge required for their new roles. By focusing on "filling the gaps," the university aims to ensure that the transition from junior or secretarial positions to administrative and technical ranks is seamless and professional.
