UNILAG Ranks 2nd in Nigeria, 1001-1200 Globally in 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) ranked 2nd in Nigeria and placed in the 1001-1200 range globally in the 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, released on October 9, 2024. The rankings assessed over 2,000 institutions based on 18 performance indicators, covering areas like teaching, research, and international outlook.

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has secured the 2nd position in Nigeria and placed within the 1001-1200 bracket globally in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. The rankings, released on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, evaluated over 2,000 universities across the globe.

UNILAG shares the 2nd spot in Nigeria with Ahmadu Bello University, Landmark University, and the University of Ibadan. Globally, it ranks alongside institutions such as Cardiff Metropolitan University (UK), Central Michigan University (US), and Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (Japan), among others, all listed alphabetically.

The 2025 THE rankings are based on 18 performance indicators that assess universities in key areas including teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook.
