The School of Postgraduate Studies at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) received a significant donation of books on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. The books, titled "Reclaiming the Jewel of Africa," were authored by former Minister of Finance and Industry, Olusegun Aganga, and were presented by Dr. Waheed Olagunju, Founder and CEO of WVL Development Advisers Limited, and former Acting Managing Director of the Bank of Industry.

The Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Abraham Osinubi, led the reception of the donation, thanking Dr. Olagunju on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola. He assured that the books would be instrumental in furthering research at UNILAG.

Dr. Olagunju highlighted the book’s valuable insights into Nigeria's and Africa’s potential for prosperity, which he believes will aid postgraduate students in their research endeavors. "Reclaiming the Jewel of Africa" is an in-depth analysis of Nigeria's economic future, providing practical solutions for moving the nation and the continent forward.

Also in attendance were the Sub-Dean, Dr. Adegboyega Ehinmowo, and Deputy Registrar, Mr. Rotimi Adedunye.
