The School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS), University of Lagos (UNILAG), has announced that the 2025/2026 Postgraduate Candidacy Assessment (PCA) will hold on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Below are the detailed instructions for all candidates:
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
- The PCA is competitive; candidates must conduct themselves properly.
- Ensure a stable internet connection before attempting the online assessment.
- Mobile phones are not supported. Use a webcam and microphone-enabled device only.
- Candidates’ activities will be monitored and recorded throughout the assessment.
- Do not cover the webcam at any point — doing so may lead to disqualification.
- Candidates are not allowed to leave their position during the assessment.
- Leaving the test tab or application will result in immediate disqualification.
- Use of external cameras or HDMI displays is strictly prohibited.
- No one should be present around the candidate during the test; any violation leads to disqualification.
- Do not take the assessment at business centres or cafés.
- Duration of the assessment is 20 minutes, counting starts once “Start” is clicked.
- Time continues even if the candidate logs out before completion.
- Do not read questions aloud — this may cause disqualification.
- Ensure your room is well-lit and avoid sitting with your back to a light source.
- Once time elapses, the system automatically submits the assessment.
- Face masks, caps, earpieces, earbuds, or headphones are not allowed.
- Candidates can only log in on their scheduled date and time.
DIRECTIONS TO TAKE THE ASSESSMENT
Candidates can access the assessment in any of the following ways:
- Click the “Click Here To Take Exam” button in the email sent to candidates.
- Click the WebTest icon on the UNILAG application portal.
- Visit https://unilagspgs.proctee.webtest.ng and log in using:
- Username: Application Number
- Password: Surname (in lowercase)
Step 1: Click “Take Exam” to open the instructions page.
- Download and install the specified examination browser (for Windows or macOS).
- Only the indicated version will work. Skip reinstallation if already updated.
Step 2: Grant all permissions requested by the Safe Exam Browser (SEB).
Step 3: Return to the exam page and click “Click here to take your exam” to begin.
Supported OS: Windows 10 or higher / Ventura OS for Mac users.
MOCK ASSESSMENT
- All candidates must take the Mock Assessment using the same device intended for the PCA.
- The Mock Assessment will run from Friday, October 24, 2025, to midnight of Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
