UNILORIN Issues Notice on Procedure for Certificate Verification and English Proficiency
Applicants are advised to avoid third-party transactions, as the university will not be liable for unofficial transactions. It is also important to ensure all relevant documents are attached and the application procedure is strictly followed.
The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has issued a notice detailing the procedure for applicants seeking services such as verification, certification, and English proficiency.
Applicants are required to make all payments online through REMITA, ensuring that the name on the payment receipt matches the name on the applicant’s certificate for individual applications. Corporate bodies and organizations should use their own names.
Before submitting the application, the following documents must be attached:
- Payment receipt generated from REMITA
- Original scanned copy of the applicant’s certificate
An official recipient’s address must be provided, as documents will not be addressed “To Whom It May Concern” or to an individual/personal address.
Requests will be attended to within five working days of application submission. If processing takes longer, applicants will be contacted regarding the status of their application.

- English Proficiency: ₦10,000
- Verification of Certificate and other Documents: ₦10,000
- Certification of Certificate (Certified True Copy): ₦50,000
- Attestation Letter: ₦10,000
