UNILORIN Mourns the Passing of Guest House Manager Mrs. Salamat Bashir
Mrs. Salamat Bashir, UNILORIN Guest House Manager, tragically passed away in a motor accident on September 9, 2024; a fidau was held on September 12.

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) is in mourning following the tragic death of Mrs. Salamat Bashir, the Manager of the UNILORIN Guest House. Mrs. Bashir died in a severe motor accident on the Ogbomoso-Ilorin Express Road on September 9, 2024. She was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic customs.
A fidau was held in Ilorin on September 12, 2024, to honor her memory. The event was attended by numerous dignitaries and university staff who came together to pay their respects.
