UNILORIN Screens 16,097 Candidates for 2024 Post-UTME
The University of Ilorin successfully conducted its 2024 Post-UTME screening for 16,097 candidates, praised for its smooth execution and prompt results.
The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) successfully conducted its 2024 Post-UTME screening, with 16,097 candidates participating from August 29 to August 31, 2024.
Prof. Kamil Rauf, Director of the Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Centre, praised the smooth execution of the screening, crediting the University's comprehensive preparations and the substantial support from the University management led by Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN. The Director highlighted the swift release of results, attributed to advanced technological innovations.
Prof. Rauf noted that the CBT Centre's high-quality infrastructure positively impacted various internal examinations, including departmental, Institute of Education, and Centre for Open and Distance Learning exams. The Centre also administers exams for the Police, Pension Service, and several professional councils.
Mr. Gafar Yusuf, Manager of JKK, emphasized the importance of backup power in ensuring the examination's seamless conduct.
Mrs. Bilikisu I. Giwa, Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, mentioned ongoing improvements for future Post-UTME screenings.
Candidates and their families expressed high regard for UNILORIN's academic standards and environment. Mr. Bashir Alao traveled from Port Harcourt, citing the University’s excellent reputation. Ibrahim Kamaldeen, aiming for Physiology and Anatomy, hopes to transition to Medicine. Daud AbdulRaheem Kehinde from Lagos noted his rigorous preparation and determination to join Political Science.
Current students and alumni, including Barakat Opeyemi, who made extra income from assisting Post-UTME candidates, reflected positively on the University's community and opportunities.
