UNILORIN Wins at All Nigerian University Debate Championship
The University of Ilorin debate team won ₦200,000 and educational materials at the All Nigerian University Debate Championship (ANUDC) hosted by Veritas University, Abuja.

The University of Ilorin’s debate team made a remarkable showing at the All Nigerian University Debate Championship (ANUDC), held recently at Veritas University, Abuja. The championship, a premier event for undergraduate debaters across Nigeria, featured intense discussions on key issues, including online gender-based violence (OGBV) and digital safety.
The debate focused on societal attitudes towards digital platforms and the regulatory challenges involved in tackling OGBV. The University of Ilorin team stood out for their insightful arguments and critical engagement on these pressing topics.
As a result of their performance, the team was awarded ₦200,000 and a selection of educational materials, including comprehensive online safety toolkits. These resources will aid in their continued efforts to raise awareness about digital violence and promote online safety within their communities.
