UNIMAID Expands Media Faculty, Launches B.Sc. Broadcasting Programme

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has announced the formal introduction of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Broadcasting under its Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, marking a strategic expansion of its media education curriculum.

The programme is specifically engineered to provide students with a blend of theoretical depth and hands-on technical skills required for professional careers in radio, television, and digital media industries. 

Admission Requirements

The Faculty has outlined the following eligibility criteria for prospective candidates:

For UTME Candidates:

UTME Cut-off Mark: A minimum score of 190.

Subject Combination: English Language plus any three Social Science subjects. 

For Direct Entry (DE) Candidates:

Qualification: A Diploma in Mass Communication or a related discipline.
