UNIMAID Pro-Chancellor Visits Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi Ahead of 25th Convocation and 50th Golden Jubilee

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, University of Maiduguri, Dr. Yunusa Adamu Dangwani, led a high-powered delegation on a courtesy visit to elder statesman and philanthropist Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi on Friday, 28 November 2025.

The visit aimed to congratulate him ahead of UNIMAID’s 25th Combined Convocation and 50th Golden Jubilee, while also briefing him on preparations for the historic events. Dr. Dangwani commended Alhaji Indimi for his consistent support to the University and highlighted his role as the Chief Launcher of the institution’s Endowment Fund.

Also in attendance was the Chancellor and Chairman of the Council of Traditional Rulers of Nasarawa State, His Royal Highness Justice Muhammadu Sidi Bage I, who praised Alhaji Indimi’s contributions and encouraged continued support for the University.

The delegation featured the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, members of the Governing Council, principal officers, and senior management staff.

In his response, Alhaji Indimi expressed gratitude for the visit, congratulated the University leadership on the upcoming events, and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting education as a tool for societal transformation. He further encouraged other Nigerians and stakeholders to support the Endowment Fund, emphasizing that investment in education is an investment in the nation’s future.
